Cause of Panic Attack Symptoms – Two Pathways

Author:
Mark Tern

Anytime, Anywhere

A panic attack is one of the most intrusive problems you can have. If you a panic attack sufferer, you can have one in your car, at home, in public, anywhere.

Something Threatening Your Life

When you are facing a life threatening situation, you are experiencing an intense emotion, something between deep fear and panic.

Well, research has shown that this very same kind of fear is what you experience when you have a panic attack. It could be so similar that you could even feel as if you were dying.

These types of symptoms can last for anywhere from a few minute to a couple of hours.

This means that your mind is evaluating you are under attack and the so called “fight or flight” action is required.

Your Body’s Defense

Immediately your body takes into account your mind’s message, and will act accordingly: your heart rate will increase and you experience a chest tightening.

If nothing improves in a few seconds, then you could feel nauseated or dizzy and you could even faint.

Stressful Hereditary Conditions

Well, research has not yet understood the true nature of panic attacks. For sure there are two main sources:

1) Hereditary condition;

2) Stress or fear.

The quick check to understand your case is to answer a couple of simple questions:

1) Do you have any members in your family or parents or relatives that are panic attack sufferers?

2) Did your panic attack symptoms started or worsened heavily in a stressful situation or event?

In my opinion these two conditions define two completely different panic pathways: the first is about a physiological condition, the second is about a psychological one.

The Way To Go

In both cases professional assistance is the way to go.

If you suspect a hereditary condition, then looking for a physician is mandatory. He could help you to find an appropriate medication schedule and get some basic relief quickly.

If you suspect the cause is a stressful situation, then counselling is more appropriate. You could learn the probable cause of your panic attack and maybe develop a few strategies to handle oncoming attacks. If your symptoms are just caused by a “normal” stress, then learning to control what is causing you anxiety will be your way to improve.

Get more

You can find many remedies for you anxiety from conventional physicians and therapists. Simple approaches that can give you relief in both panic pathways are based on natural remedies. You can try a panic attack natural remedy and start having some simple benefits the easy way (give a look at my website – see the resource box).

How To Deal With Panic Attacks
Have you ever experienced a sudden change of pace in your heart? Your face may become flushed and a loss of breath may occur. Dizziness follows and you might have the urge to vomit on the spot. Your life feels like it is racing out of control. For some, a feeling that conjures up thoughts of impending death may arise. Little do you know that these are all signs associated with a panic attack, which can occur at anytime in your life, regardless of who you are or where you happen to be at the time. You are overtaken by a strong sense of fear with your entire body reacting to this scary process. Symptoms and Signs The symptoms of a panic attack are so overwhelming that some feel they are having a heart attack. It is a condition that mostly occurs in females, but is also fairly common among males. When individuals experience numerous panic attacks, they will most likely be diagnosed as having a condition that is called panic disorder. It is a treatable condition marked by a series of signs and symptoms. Although there are variations in symptoms of a panic attack, there are a few basic characteristics that often last about ˝ hour after the sudden emergence of attack symptoms. A person may experience an increase in heart rate, sweats, chills, nausea, chest pain, dizziness, faintness, tightness in the throat, hot flashes, hyperventilation and trouble swallowing. A headache is also a common sign of a panic attack. Causes of a Panic Attack There are numerous factors that may contribute to the onset of a panic attack, but a clearly defined, concrete list of do’s or don’ts has yet to be compiled. Doctors know that stress, heredity and other biochemical variables have something to do with panic attacks. For instance, if your mother has a history of suffering many panic...
